Standardised Calcium Sennosides
Senna extract — commercially known as Calcium Sennosides — is the purified, standardised form of the anthraquinone glycosides (sennoside A and B) derived from Cassia angustifolia leaves and pods. It is the active pharmaceutical ingredient in OTC laxative tablets, capsules and syrups sold worldwide under brand names such as Senokot, Ex-Lax and countless generics.
PAX Herbal produces calcium sennosides using a multi-step aqueous extraction, purification and precipitation process. The final product is a fine brown-to-tan powder tested for sennoside content by HPLC method. We supply grades from 20% to 60% sennosides A+B to match different formulation requirements.
