About This Product

Cardamom Oleoresin

Cardamom oleoresin is a premium concentrated extract of Kerala Bold Green cardamom pods — capturing the complete, complex aromatic profile of the world's finest cardamom: clean eucalyptus-cool freshness (1,8-cineole, 30%+), sweet spice warmth (terpinyl acetate, 40%+) and the layered aromatic complexity that makes cardamom one of the world's most valued flavours.

PAX Herbal uses 7mm+ Bold Green Kerala cardamom as feedstock — the highest quality commercial grade. The volatile oil content (30%+) is among the highest achievable from natural cardamom. GC/MS profiling confirms 1,8-cineole, terpinyl acetate, linalool and other key compounds per batch. The full oleoresin (volatile + fixed oil fraction) is available, as is the defatted volatile-oil-rich grade for applications requiring higher flavour concentration per gram.

Common Questions

Buyer FAQs

1,8-Cineole (eucalyptol) provides the clean, cool, slightly medicinal freshness characteristic of cardamom. Terpinyl acetate provides the sweet, fruity-spice warmth. Together at 30% + 40% respectively, they define authentic Kerala cardamom character. High-quality oleoresin has both compounds in this ratio — lower quality material shows disproportionate amounts or low totals.
Bold Green (7mm+) Kerala cardamom has the highest volatile oil content (6%+) of any commercial cardamom grade — translating directly to the highest oleoresin yield and aromatic intensity per kg of feedstock. Lower-grade or aged cardamom produces significantly weaker oleoresin with inferior compound ratios.
Yes — cardamom is an important fragrance material. 1,8-Cineole and terpinyl acetate from cardamom oleoresin are used in oriental, floral and fresh fragrance compositions. It provides a distinctive clean-spice note that blends well with rose, jasmine and woody base notes.
MOQ is 10 kg due to the high cost of cardamom feedstock. Samples (50–200g) available for flavour and GC/MS testing.
