Senna (Cassia angustifolia), commonly known as Indian Senna or Tinnevelly Senna, is a shrub native to the dry regions of Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. The dried leaves and pods contain sennosides — naturally occurring anthraquinone glycosides that are the active laxative ingredient used in pharmaceutical formulations worldwide.

Rajasthan senna is globally acknowledged for its consistently high sennoside A+B content, typically ranging from 2.5% to 3.5% depending on harvest season, growing location and post-harvest handling. PAX Herbal sources senna directly from farming clusters in Jodhpur, Barmer and Jaisalmer districts — all established senna-producing belts.

Every batch is tested in our in-house HPLC laboratory before dispatch. We issue a Certificate of Analysis (COA) with specific sennoside percentage, moisture, ash content and microbial testing results. Our baling machines compress leaves to maximise container utilisation — saving buyers significantly on freight costs.
